What it actually does
Crisp is CRISP IM SAS, 2 boulevard de Launay, Nantes. Still live. Bootstrapped since 2015. The 2026 homepage is an AI customer support platform. That is a shared inbox plus a website live-chat widget plus Hugo, a metered AI agent. Hugo answers on chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and email. It does not answer the shop phone. Phone in the inbox is Aircall, Ringover, or KrispCall. Twilio is SMS inbox, not missed-call text-back.
It is not Tidio. Tidio is a cheap site widget with Lyro. Crisp is a helpdesk that happens to have a widget. It is not Chatbase. You are not pasting PDFs into a bot you own. It is not ManyChat. Comment-to-DM is a different job. No reviews SKU. No GBP. No Jobber, Housecall Pro, Dentrix, Mindbody, or Clio. Native names are Shopify, Woo, Prestashop, HubSpot, Salesforce.
Who should buy it
Buy it
Buy Mini at $45 a month per workspace if you want four seats and a widget and you already live in a SaaS inbox. Free is $0, two seats, 100 profiles, no AI. Essentials is $95, ten seats, $25 in Hugo credits (about 450 conversations), WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, chatbot. Plus is $295, twenty-plus seats, $75 in credits, extra seats $10. Enterprise is Custom. Trial is 14 days, all features, no card. Public page is USD, including the French URL.
The catch
The reason not to buy is the jump, then the paper. Live pricing August 25, 2026: Mini $45 does not include WhatsApp. The shop that thought chat meant WhatsApp is on Essentials at $95, then WhatsApp credits from $50. Hugo credits expire each month. Terms: no refunds, no pro-rata. Cancel monthly and paid features drop immediately, current month still due. Yearly stays due until the prepaid year ends. French law, Nantes commercial court. Annual dollar amount is not printed. Do not invent it. Directories still print Pro $25 and Unlimited $95. Stale. Do not use them. Capterra 2026: leftover plugin billing after cancel, trial auto-convert, Hugo boot-loops, silent workflow kill, exact-match search broken.
