Pros

  • withallo.com/pricing FAQ (Oct 19, 2026): Solo $15/mo or $10 yearly, Business $45/mo or $32 yearly, Ultra $120/mo or $100 yearly. No setup fees, no contracts
  • AI Receptionist add-on is $32/mo per agent billed yearly (same as a Business seat on yearly). It answers, books Google Calendar / Cal.com / Calendly, transfers, and can SMS follow up
  • Missed-call text-back sits in the call flow on paid plans. Free number porting. 7-day Business trial with card on file. Cancel anytime

Cons

  • The receptionist is not included. Our math: Business + AI Receptionist is $64/mo billed yearly ($32+$32) or $90/mo month-to-month ($45+$45). A phone-only buyer does not need that stack
  • Solo lists public prices but the homepage and help center still describe Solo as waitlist or coming soon. The open self-serve trial is Business
  • Add-on pricing on the pricing page says early and can still change. Help center lists the AI Receptionist at $45/mo, which matches monthly Business-seat billing, not the $32 yearly figure
  • Allo is a per-seat business phone. Live USD on withallo.com/pricing (October 19, 2026): Solo $15/mo or $10 yearly, Business $45/mo or $32 yearly, Ultra $120/mo or $100 yearly. AI transcripts and summaries are included.
  • The AI Receptionist is an add-on at $32/mo per agent billed yearly. Our math: Business plus one receptionist is $64/mo on yearly billing, or $90/mo if both bill monthly at $45 each.
  • No setup fees, no contracts, free porting, 7-day Business trial. Extra numbers from $5/mo. Power Dialer $50/mo for the team. Pricing page notes add-on prices are early and can change.

What it actually does

Allo replaces your business phone: one number per seat, mobile and desktop apps, unlimited national calls, recording, and CRM sync on Business and up (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio, and others). Receiving SMS is unlimited. Sending to US numbers is included on Business and Ultra. Outbound SMS elsewhere uses credits, with $5 of credit per seat per month included.

The AI Receptionist sits on top of that phone. You turn it on per line. It greets callers, answers from your website and uploaded docs, takes messages, warm-transfers when you want a person, and books into Google Calendar, Cal.com, or Calendly. Pickup can be missed calls only, every call, or business hours only. After the call you get a summary, transcript, and recording. Help docs also describe automatic SMS after a missed call as a Send SMS step in the call flow, which is why this page sits in both the AI receptionist and missed-call text-back aisles.

It is not a standalone answering service you forward into while you keep another phone vendor. Compare that shape to OpenPhone (now Quo) or Rosie, where Rosie is AI answering without replacing your whole phone system.

Who should buy it

Buy it

Buy it if you were already shopping for a shared business line with CRM logging, and you want the same vendor’s AI to cover missed and after-hours rings without a separate answering product. Teams under 250 people are the audience Allo states on the homepage. Business is the plan with the open 7-day trial.

The catch

The reason not to buy is the stack. If you only need an AI to pick up when nobody answers, you still pay for an Allo seat before you pay for the receptionist. Our math puts Business plus one AI agent at $64/mo yearly or $90/mo monthly. A business that is happy with its current phone and only wants after-hours AI should price Rosie or Upfirst first. Also confirm Solo availability: public cards show Solo dollars, but the homepage still points Solo to a waitlist.

Who installs this

These listings declare the same aisle Allo sits on, or they name the software itself. It is not a vendor partner badge. Buying the subscription is the easy part. Getting it configured is the work.

FAQ

What does Allo cost?

On withallo.com/pricing (October 19, 2026), Solo is $15 a seat a month or $10 billed yearly, Business is $45 monthly or $32 yearly, and Ultra is $120 monthly or $100 yearly. The AI Receptionist add-on is $32 a month per agent billed yearly and follows your monthly or yearly billing like a Business seat. Power Dialer is $50 a month for the whole team. Extra numbers start at $5 a month. HIPAA BAA is $50 a month per workspace on Business and Ultra. 10DLC registration is a $24 one-time fee.

Is the Allo AI receptionist included in the phone plan?

No. AI transcripts and summaries are included on every paid plan. The AI Receptionist is a separate add-on per agent. It answers when your team misses (or on every call), books into Google Calendar, Cal.com, or Calendly, transfers to a human, and can send SMS follow-ups.

Does Allo have a free trial or a contract?

The pricing FAQ and help center both say a 7-day free trial on Business, with a card on file and no charge until day 7 if you cancel in time. No setup fees and no contracts. Cancel anytime; access runs to the end of the paid period. The homepage also mentions a 30-day money-back claim. Ask support which refund rule applies before you pay yearly.
