What it actually does
Workiz is the field service shop OS at workiz.com. Workiz Inc. sits in San Diego. You schedule the truck, send the estimate, invoice, take payment, and (if you buy the add-ons) run calls and texts inside the same product. That is the product. It is not a standalone AI receptionist with a published $29 card. It is not a reviews SKU with a public monthly price.
Three plans on workiz.com/pricing-plans on September 9, 2026. Every card says Request pricing. Standard is the core: scheduling, invoices, jobs and estimates, five automations, online payments, service areas, built-in reports, client management, custom fields, subcontractors, and QuickBooks Online sync. Pro adds performance pay, ten automations, Genius leads, Genius scheduling, and custom reports. Ultimate (labeled Most popular) adds service plans, thirty automations, sales proposals, inventory, flat rate, checklists, multi-day jobs, franchise management, open API, equipment tracking, and purchase orders. Jobs, invoices, estimates, and clients are Unlimited on every plan. Sales line printed on the site is 855-790-7363.
Genius Phone, Genius Answering, and Genius Marketing sit under Discover the Genius add-ons. Each is sold separately. Genius Answering claims 24/7 voice plus inbox (email, SMS, webform, lead sources), English, Spanish, and French, with live transfer to your team. No public dollar on those add-on cards. Workiz Pay covers online payments, estimate deposits, consumer financing, Tap to pay, and a Charge Card. Card readers are sold separately. The footer note: subscription prices exclude sales tax where applicable.
Trial is seven days, no credit card, per the FAQ on that pricing page. Annual billing is discounted versus monthly. The FAQ only prints save $400+. It does not print the monthly cash for Standard. Do not invent Kickstart or Lite dollars from a review site. Those numbers were not on the vendor page we opened.
Who should buy it
Buy it
Buy it if you run a phone-heavy home-service shop (HVAC, plumbing, electrician, garage door, locksmith, appliance repair, junk) and you wanted the OS and the call stack under one vendor, and you will take the quote. Mid-size and multi-location teams are the explicit Best for labels on Pro and Ultimate.
Skip it
Do not buy it if you needed a public monthly floor this afternoon. That is still Jobber Core at $49 or Housecall Pro Basic at $79. Do not buy Standard thinking Genius Answering is included in a price you cannot see. Do not buy it as a Google reviews box. Reputation Manager sits inside Genius Marketing, sold separately. Do not buy it because a third-party blog printed $187 or $229. Those are not on workiz.com.
The catch
The reason not to buy, even when the OS aisle is right, is the opaque bill plus the split stack. Request pricing on every plan. Phone and answering are add-ons. Card readers are separate. You cannot budget the whole month from the pricing page alone. A one-truck shop that only needed quotes and invoices will sit through a sales path for a product sized around call tracking and Genius.
