What it actually does
Synup pushes name, address, and hours to 100-plus publishers, then layers review monitoring, email/SMS/QR review asks, social, and a geo-grid. On August 19, 2026 they rebuilt the marketing site around an agent branded Sydekick. That is listings, reviews, social, and AI-answer visibility. It is not a phone. It is not missed-call text-back. It is not a website chatbot. Synup Corporation, New York. Not acquired. They bought Clientjoy in January 2024 and OptimoRank in February 2024. Still live at synup.com.
Jobber, Housecall Pro, Dentrix, Mindbody, and Clio are not on the live site. The buyer they built for is an agency or a franchise. Solo is the one-location door they added on the public pricing page.
Who should buy it
Buy it
Buy Solo if you want citations plus Google review asks in one login and you will cancel in the dashboard, not by hoping an email lands. $49 a month for one location, or $39 on the annual toggle, with 5,000 credits. Premium is $299 for up to 10 locations. Pro $499 / 25. Scale $899 / 50. Enterprise is Custom. White-label starts at Premium. Trial is 14 days, $50 in AI credits, no card.
Skip it
Do not buy it if you only needed NAP and GBP. That is Moz Local at $20. Do not buy it if you needed a human citation desk you keep after cancel. That is BrightLocal. Do not buy it for the phone.
The catch
The reason not to buy is cancel. Help articles from April 2026 still describe annual auto-renew, one-month notice, and cancellation charges. The public terms page is a thin website template: 30-day case-by-case refunds, 2.9% card fee, no arbitration clause we retrieved. Trustpilot and BBB stories in 2024-2026 are months of charges after written notice, $245 CAD and $800 examples, collections. Capterra 1-star, April 2026: a $10k sales/contract fight after a demo. G2 stayed about 4.5 from roughly 300. That pile is agencies. Local Search Forum citation people in 2023 already said look at Whitespark, BrightLocal, or Yext.
